Game Preview: Green Bulldogs v. Tallmadge Blue Devils (Off The Leash | 8/31/22)
The Green Bulldogs try to remain undefeated this Friday against the strong Tallmadge Blue Devils.

Before I start my preview, I wanted to give a brief report on Green’s game against North Olmsted last Friday. I failed to deliver one over the weekend, my apologies for that. Busy days people… busy days.
Here are some important takeaways from last week:
North Olmstead primarily ran options. This began to be a looming issue for the Bulldogs, but our defense pulled through and made many important stops going into the 2nd half. Showing that our defense can adapt to various play styles relatively quickly.
WR Zach Baglia (#13) went for 13 receptions, 277 yards, and 4 TDs. Baglia has started to blossom into an Ohio high school football star.
QB Robby Klockner (#19) shows that he is the real deal. Passing for 444 yards and 5 TDs. Despite throwing one INT, it seems like he’ll continue this hot streak this week against Tallmadge.
Green’s kicker, Eli Noirot, had a great kicking game. Sealing the game away with a FG in the 4th quarter, and draining all 4 of his PATs.
Now, back to what you’re all reading this for:
The Bulldogs of Green High School will play against the Tallmadge Blue Devils this Friday (9/2/22) @ 7:00 PM ET at home. With a phenomenal connection forming between WR Zach Baglia (#13) and QB Robby Klockner (#19), the Bulldogs look to remain undefeated after defeating the North Olmsted Eagles last week. The opponents, Tallmadge, are also coming into this game undefeated. Led by 3 star WR Collin Dixon (#2), who recently committed to the University of Wisconsin this July, the Blue Devils hope to bump their record to 3-0 against Green this week.

Here are 3 players to look out for this Friday.
Zach Baglia (#13)
Zach Baglia makes the watch list once again. After receiving for 108 yards in week 1, he went for 277 yards in last Friday’s game against North Olmsted. Catching 4 TDs against The Eagles, it’s obvious that he is a threat to opposing defenses. He puts on phenomenal performances no matter what team, and he comes in clutch when the team needs him most. Zach also seems to have a good connection with QB Robby Klockner (#19), usually being Robby’s first option even when he’s 40 yards down the field. Baglia will have to show up against the Blue Devils if the Bulldogs want to succeed, but at the rate he’s on, this could be his best game of the season.
Eli Noirot (#23)
Green’s kicker, Eli Noirot (#23), has succeeded in convincing Bulldog Football supporters that he comes in handy in game-deciding moments. Icing the game-sealing kick against North Olmsted last week, it’s clear he has the ability to kick for 30+ yards when needed. During this game-sealing kick, the Bulldogs suffered from 2 penalties, putting them 10-15 yards behind where Eli was originally supposed to kick from. It was no problem, and as stated previously, he split the uprights. Definitely watch him kick on Friday.
Matt Galemmo (#35)
Defensive player Matt Galemmo (#35) recorded 13 tackles in the last game against North Olmsted. After having a quiet start to his season with only 5 tackles against Ellet, he exploded against the Eagles last Friday. Though North Olmsted did run the ball a majority of the time, he was a main reason their option offense wasn’t a bigger issue than it was. Depending on Tallmadge’s playstyle this week, it will be interesting to see what he can get done for the Bulldogs on Friday.
Game Prediction
Though I’d like to stay hopeful, you just can’t ignore some of Tallmadge’s talent. However, they faced Ellet last week and only put up 45. So if we base the score off of both teams’ stands against Ellet, I think the Bulldogs win by a few points.
The Bulldogs will beat a strong passing-based Tallmadge squad in a shoot-out.
