Game Preview: Green Bulldogs v. North Olmsted Eagles (Off The Leash | 8/24/22)
The Bulldogs of Green High School hope to advance their record to 2-0.

The Green Bulldogs will play against the North Olmsted Eagles this Friday (8/26/22) @ 7:00 PM ET on their home turf. With a solid looking offense led by QB Robby Klockner (#19), the Bulldogs look to gain their 2nd consecutive win of the young season after having a resounding victory the Ellet Orangemen last week. On the other side, North Olmsted lost their week 1 game against North Ridgeville 34-21 last Friday and after being defeated by the Bulldogs last year 43-14, they’ll have to put up a fight against the new roster to get their season back on track.

Top 3 players to look out for on Friday:
Jarrett Taylor (#2)
Jarrett Taylor, WR/PR, had 3 receptions for 76 yards and 1 TD in Week 1. Being a crucial target for getting the ball down the field, it’s clear that his height and speed will be utilized greatly on the roster. One catch against Ellet in particular, was made over an opposing CB, leading Green into the red zone. These completions will be needed for Green’s offense if short routes aren’t working out. Jarrett is also one of the Bulldog’s punt returners, and he’s quite good at it, gaining 17 yards after catching the punt. I’m sure he’ll show out against the Eagles this week.
Antonio Martin (#3)
This man is something else. A player who can do it all, playing QB for the Freshmen team before being called up to varsity last season to play WR. Last week, he had 4 receptions for 61 yards and 1 TD. That isn’t all though, on the defensive side, he recorded 3 tackles with one being for a loss of yards. Able to get it done on both sides of the ball, Martin is a valuable piece for the Bulldogs. He was able to perform at a high level last season, and it’s very clear that he’ll be able to get it done again this season.
Mike Schaal (#53)
DE Mike Schaal recorded 4 tackles last Friday, with 3 going for a loss of yards. Schaal is a nightmare for opposing offenses, stopping runs and screens quickly and efficiently. A good person to have on your defense for sure, and I’m excited to see what he can do against North Olmsted’s offensive line.
Game Prediction
The Bulldogs beat a rocky North Olmsted offense.
