Game Preview: Green Bulldogs v. Hoover Vikings (Off The Leash | 10/12/22)
Green looks to keep their playoff hopes alive this Friday, hoping to become 5-4 after this game.

The Green Bulldogs will take on the Hoover Vikings this Friday (10/7) @ 7:00 PM ET at Hoover. They won against the Perry Panthers last week, but they need to win against the Vikings if they want to keep their playoff hopes alive. By the looks of things, Hoover does not seem like a very tough team to beat. Hoover is coming off of a loss to a strong Lake team, losing by 20. Hoover’s run game seems to be strong, but against good defenses it’s almost ineffective. Hoover RB Luke Roach (#29) seems to be decent, but can’t get many explosive runs going. Their pass game is alright, with Hoover QB Carson Drylund (#9) only having 10 TD passes on the season.
Green's win against Perry was something they needed badly. After losing for 3 straight weeks, Green needed to beat Perry if they wanted to make the playoffs. Eventually, winning by 3, they will look to catapult to a winning record after Hoover. Green’s biggest star last week was WR Antonio Martin (#3), who ran the ball frequently to get crucial yards. Martin also caught 2 TD passes along the way, which is why the Bulldogs will need him to show up this week. Having someone who can line up and get receptions while also being able to pick up crucial yards on the ground is a valuable asset.
Along with Martin, Green WR Zach Baglia (#13) had one of his best games to date. With 14 receptions for 233 yards and 2 TDs, his connection with Klockner might be the best in the Federal League. Though he took some rough hits last night, he kept walking back onto the field like it was nothing. He’s a very tough player, shrugging off big hits like they’re just light taps. Klockner will probably look to Baglia the most in this game, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Baglia has one of his best games on Friday.
Game Prediction
Green will beat a weak Hoover team.
